SEATTLE — Jurors have begun deliberating the fate of a woman charged with killing six of her family members in Carnation on Christmas Eve 2007.
The Seattle Times reports (http://goo.gl/eYgo3I ) closing arguments in the trial of Michele Anderson took place Wednesday morning.
Anderson’s defense attorney Colleen O’Connor said Wednesday Anderson didn’t kill her family over money, that the deaths weren’t premeditated and that at most she should be found guilty of second-degree murder.
King County prosecutor Scott O’Toole called Anderson the mastermind behind the slayings and said she is the reason the crimes happened.
Anderson is charged with aggravated murder in the fatal shootings. Her former boyfriend, Joseph McEnroe, is already serving six life sentences after being convicted of the same killings.
Anderson faces life in prison without the possibility of parole.
