The Eagles had a big night Feb. 20, winning against White River Valley 56-35 — Head Coach Chuck Hutchins’ 100th win — but basketball wasn’t the only thing going on.

In addition, Brown County High School exchange student┬áZhang Yue, the victim of a Feb. 18 hatchet attack (Read more…), was at the game to see the Eagles play.

BCHS Principal Shane Killinger said that Yue’s presence at the game was a big boost to student morale after the unprovoked attack left the entire┬ácommunity stunned.

“They’re so happy to see her, so happy to see that she’s out, and it’s just been wonderful to see the kids rally around her,” Killinger said.

“I’ve always known we have wonderful kids, but that just reinforces that this is a great place with great kids,” he said.
