George Lovett, 84, of Nashville, passed away Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016.

Born May 30, 1931, in Manchester, Tennessee, he was son of the late George Lovett and Rose Minter. He graduated from Muncie Central High School. George retired from Warren Gear. He attended the Salvation Army Church. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

George is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Martha Lovett; his daughter, Jeri Jones; his brother, Herman Lovett; his two sisters, Louise Lindsay and Ruth Beamer; his two grandchildren, Kevin Jones and Lacey Stinson; and four great-grandsons.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Terry Lovett; and a brother, Wiley Lovett.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be conducted at a later date.
