Brent Douglas Beasley, 51, died in Chula Vista, California, Sunday, Nov. 29, 2015.

Brent was born in Indianapolis, May 10, 1964.

He is survived by his wife, Regina Zepeda Beasley of Chula Vista; his brother, Brian Beasley of Fishers; and his parents, Harold and Audrey Beasley of Indianapolis.

He graduated from Southport High School in 1982, received his bachelor’s from Indiana University in 1986 and his master’s from Ball State University in 1988.

Brent worked at Sea World in San Diego for 20 years in public relations as an underwater and naturalist videographer, editor and producer of the Shamu TV programs and other educational programs. He was the recipient of two Emmy awards for producer/editor/videographer for “Humpback Whales in Maui” and “The Story of J.J.”

His work enabled him to meet numerous celebrities and dignitaries. It also enabled him to travel to beautiful outdoor areas in various states and countries such as Baja Mexico, Australia, Hawaii, Alaska and British Columbia. A career highlight was landing and taking off from the Carrier USS Carl Vinson while at sea.

Brent was intelligent, talented, witty and kind.

His funeral and memorial service took place in San Diego, California, Dec. 3.

He is loved and will live forever in our memories.
