Lee B. Wilhelm, 65, of Nashville, passed away peacefully Saturday evening, Oct. 24, 2015, at his home.

Lee was born Jan. 8, 1950, in Johnstown, Pennsylvania, to the late Herman George and Naomi “Jane” (Beatty) Wilhelm Jr. A 1967 graduate of Franklin High School, he went on to attend Indiana University. Lee worked in construction most of his life.

Lee enjoyed the outdoors by hunting, fishing, hiking and camping. He also enjoyed working in his flower and vegetable gardens, playing guitar and reading history books and National Geographic. Lee was always willing to learn new card and board games and was learning how to play bridge. He was an avid fan of Indiana University basketball, especially former coach Bobby Knight.

Lee will be missed by his daughters, Mary Jane (Gary) Turnmire of Martinsville and Isabelle Wilhelm of Brown County; grandchildren, Tarra and Gary Turnmire of Martinsville; and nephews, David (Becky) Wilhelm of Edinburgh and Willy Wilhelm of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Herman G. Wilhelm III.

From 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, a celebration of life service and reception hosted by Lee’s family will take place in a downstairs meeting room at the Brown County Public Library, 205 N. Locust Lane. A service will begin at 1:30 p.m., followed by time to share memories. All are welcome. Cremation services were entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center in Morgantown.
