Crystal H. (Knight) Earlywine, 92, of Trafalgar, passed away peacefully Sunday afternoon, Nov. 22, 2015, at Homeview Health & Rehabilitation Center in Franklin.

Crystal was born in Morgantown Sept. 30, 1923, to the late Paul S. and Lela (Whitaker) Knight. She married George L. Earlywine July 20, 1945, in Spearsville. He preceded her in death Dec. 30, 2014, after 69 loving years of marriage.

Crystal was a devoted wife, loving mother and homemaker. She worked at The Candy Shop in Nashville during the 1980s and ’90s and in the laundry room at Camp Atterbury during World War II. She was a member of Franklin Pilgrim Church and Martindale Church of Christ in Indianapolis. Crystal enjoyed reading, especially her Bible, feeding the birds and working in her flower gardens.

She is survived by her children, Sandra K. (Donald) Miller of Spencer and Bruce A. (Jenny) Earlywine and David W. (Jerry) Earlywine, both of Trafalgar; siblings, Carol (Art) Hadley of Venice, Florida, Ruth (Sam) Jester of North Carolina, Marjorie Ballinger of Greenwood and Irene (Robert) Whitlock of Indianapolis; sister-in-law, Norma Knight of Greenwood; grandchildren, Holly Morrison and Crystal (Joe) Wyatt, both of Spencer, Michelle (Ron) Twaddell of Avon, Alicia Parrott of Franklin, Michael (Dawn) Earlywine and Angela Weiskittel, both of Indianapolis, and Chad (Kandy) Earlywine of Martinsville; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Crystal was preceded in death by siblings, Pauline Knight and Arthur, Harry and Leon Knight.

The Rev. Burt Brock will conduct a funeral service at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27 at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends can call from 11 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
