Brit A. Hoskins, 24, Nashville, passed away all too soon Sunday morning, June 7, 2015, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital.

He was born Aug. 18, 1990, in Indianapolis and attended school in Brown County. Brit enjoyed the outdoors — hunting, fishing and playing basketball. He was a fan of country music, with his favorite singer being George Strait.

Brit is survived by his mother, Lori (Roger Stickford) Hoskins of Nashville; maternal grandmothers, Mary Cheek of Nashville and Darlene Cheek of Brown County; paternal grandmother, Betty Hoskins of Morgantown; paternal grandfather, Clabbie Hoskins of Brown County; daughter, Gracie Rae of Nashville; brothers, Joe (Taylor) McGlothlin of Nashville and Cori (Erika) Rubadue of Nineveh; uncle, Kenny (Velva) Cheek of Nashville; cousins, Scott (Jordan) Cheek and Mary (Angie) Cheek, both of Nashville; niece, Mackenzie; and nephews, Clayton, Brayden and Emmitt.

Brit was preceded in death by his father, James R. Hoskins, on Feb. 4, 2008; and his maternal grandfather, Kenny Cheek.

The Rev. Darrel Miller will conduct a funeral service 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home Cremation & Personalization Center, 179 E. Mulberry St. in Morgantown. Friends can call from 11 a.m. until service time June 10 at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown.
