Peggy L. (Lambert) Voils-Hembree, 45, of Brown County, passed away peacefully Friday, Feb. 6, 2015, at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana in Columbus.

Peggy was born Feb. 4, 1970, in Franklin to David and Goldie M. (Haines) Lambert. She was a 1988 graduate of Brown County High School and went on to earn her associate’s degree in accounting from Ivy Tech Community College.

Peggy married Larry Hembree on Aug. 9, 2008, in Brown County; he lovingly survives.

Other survivors include her father, David Lambert of Brown County; and children, Victoria Marlene Hembree, Larry E. “Levi” Voils III, Buck Riley Scott Hembree and Carrie Harden, all of Brown County, and Robert Ray Hembree and Jennifer Lee Rickley, both of North Vernon. She will be remembered by siblings, Perry Lambert of Martinsville and David, Joseph, Darrell and Bryan Lambert, all of Brown County; and daughters-in-law, Sabreena and Gretchen Hembree, both of North Vernon.

Peggy was preceded in death by her mother.

Peggy, along with her husband, owned and operated Hembree’s Accounting Service in North Vernon for the past 25 years. She attended New Life Community Church in Nashville. Peggy enjoyed crocheting hats and blankets for Riley Hospital for Children and for others in need. She also enjoyed baby-sitting, was a fan of the Indianapolis Colts and enjoyed watching her children’s sports played in school. Peggy was known for her cooking, especially her broccoli and cheese casserole.

The Rev. Tim Conboy will conduct a celebration of life service at 6:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at New Life Community Church, 1450 State Road 135 North.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Meredith-Clark Funeral Home, Cremation and Personalization Center in Morgantown.
